PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray CT system by which timing of starting real scanning can be determined by monitoring concentration of a contrast medium without being affected by bodily motion of a subject.;SOLUTION: This X-ray CT system executes Prep Scan for monitoring concentration of the contrast medium to acquire a monitoring image. A displacement direction calculation part 84 calculates the direction of a newly set position of a monitoring ROI with the position of monitoring ROI set on the monitoring image as a reference on the basis of the increase or the decrease of a CT value in a fixed ROI set on the monitoring image. A moving amount calculation part 85 calculates a distance to the newly set position of the monitoring ROI with a position where the monitoring ROI is set as a reference on the basis of the change amount of a CT value in the fixed ROI. A CT value monitoring part 7 monitors a CT value in the newly set monitoring ROI. The X-ray CT system stops Prep Scan to start real scanning when a CT value in the monitoring ROI exceeds a threshold value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
