PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid valve, in which bolt tightening work to a molded product can be mechanically performed, even where a protruded part of a connector or the like is in such a form as to interfere with a bolt inserting hole part formed in a mounting plate part as seen in the solenoid valve axial direction, and a method for mounting and fixing the solenoid valve.;SOLUTION: This solenoid valve is mounted and fixed to an aluminum die-cast product, a resin molded product, or other molded product 810, having an opening part 811 in the surface, in such a way as to close the opening part 811 with bolts 820. It is provided with a valve main body part 110 formed in a columnar form, with protruded parts 120 protruded in normal directions, and an engagement part 111 to be engaged into the opening part 811 in the molded product 810, and mounting plate parts 130 having bolt inserting hole parts 131 to mount and fix the valve main body part 110 to the molded product.
