PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise error correction capability without enlarging a circuit scale in a recursive read channel decoder having an inner decoder and an outer decoder.;SOLUTION: Incorrect correction rectifying sections 110, 120 and 130 rectify incorrect corrections in DAE sections 43, 45 and 47 respectively. Normalization sections 141-144 normalize incoming information of LDPC sections 151-154 respectively so that performance of LDPC sections 151-154 may serve as best, and decoding algorithm of the LDPC sections 151-154 is changed so that channel information may be utilized enough.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
