PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the receiving performance of an OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) signal demodulator by appropriately performing waveform equalization in the case of receiving an OFDM signal including a delay wave. PSOLUTION: In a maximum level signal wave system block 12-1, a peak detection circuit 18-1 detects a signal of a maximum level in a received signal, and an FFT window generation circuit 20-1 generates an FFT window pulse synchronized with the detected signal. An FFT circuit 14-1 performs FFT processing of the received signal according to the FFT window pulse and stores the FFT signal while associated with a waveform identifier outputted from the peak detection circuit 18-1. A switching circuit 22 selects the FFT signal with which the same waveform identifier is associated on the basis of the waveform identifier and outputs the selected FFT signal to a transmission path equivalent circuit 24. The transmission path equivalent circuit 24 stores the FFT signal every four symbols, performs transmission path equalization processing and outputs the FFT signal to a demodulation circuit 26.
