PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrophilic, flexible polyurethane foam suitable for a microorganism immobilization support and its manufacturing method, a microorganism immobilization support using the polyurethane foam, as well as a sewage disposal method and apparatus. PSOLUTION: This hydrophilic, flexible polyurethane foam, when its sample of 101010mm size is floated in distilled water and retained under an atmospheric pressure, takes 5 or less hours until the top surface of the sample goes down under water. The manufacturing method of the polyurethane foam comprises foaming a raw material made by formulating a polyisocyanate ingredient, a polyol ingredient, a catalyst, a foaming agent, a surfactant and other auxiliaries, wherein the 1.5 pts.wt. surfactant is formulated based on the polyol of 100 pts.wt.
