Power compensation system for single-phase three-wire distribution system

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-function power compensation system for use in a single-phase three-wire power distribution system, which has a two-system current balancing function, a power factor improving function, a harmonic restraining function, a power feed function in power interruption, a power storage function etc. PSOLUTION: Two pairs of converters 1, 2 having capacitors 13, 14 in common, are incorporated into system lines 31, 33 of the single-phase three-wire type power distribution system, and one of the converters is operated in a manner of reverse conversion while the other is operated in a manner of forward conversion simultaneously. The two pairs of the converters 1, 2 have half-bridge constitutions having the capacitors 13, 14 in common, and also have a neutral point connecting line of the single-phase three-wire type power distribution system in common.
