PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make judgeable whether or not a discount toll is to be applied, by checking, on a road operator side, whether or not data show that a vehicle traveling on a toll road is present in a traffic jam section wherein a traffic jam actually occurs.;SOLUTION: This toll calculation system has: a road-side road-vehicle communication device 70 transmitting accident or traffic jam information data d to the side of the vehicle 31 coming into an area A from the toll road 25 when an accident or the traffic jam occurs on the toll road; an exit-side road-vehicle communication device 41 installed such that the exit-side road-vehicle communication device 41 can receive reception record data c on the accident or traffic information data and peculiar information data (a) from the vehicle 31 side when the vehicle 31 exits from an exit gate 26 of the toll road 25; and a toll management device 90 judging that the vehicle 31 is an accident or traffic jam encounter vehicle on the basis of the reception record data c and the peculiar information data (a) received by the exit-side road-vehicle communication device 41, and calculating the discount toll.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
