PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide bulky and biodegradable nonwoven fabric that has unevenness on the fabric surface, excellent flexibility and reduced environmental loading, when it is disposed.;SOLUTION: This biodegradable nonwoven fabric includes biodegradable and warm water-shrinkable fibers in an amount of at least 40 wt.%. On at least one face of the first fiber layer including at least 20 wt.% of biodegradable and warm water-unshrinkable fibers, is laminated the second fiber layer including at least 70 wt.% of biodegradable and warm water-unshrinkable fibers where the first layer and the second layer are partially integrated. Further, the first layer is shrunk whereby a plurality of unevenness emerge on the second fiber layer. After it is used, the fabric is decomposed into carbon dioxide and water or can be used as compost.
