PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of bolt-joining a box section pillar and a metal connector fitting for allowing a high strength bolt to be easily inserted into a bolt hole from an inside of the box section pillar and a nut to be fastened at the outside when the metal connector fitting is joined to the box section pillar by the bolt and to provide a bolt insertion tool.;SOLUTION: The box section member is perforated with the bolt hole near a joint portion, which is larger than a diameter of a head of the bolt. A flexible cable having a connection for a bolt gripper at a front end is inserted into the bolt hole from outside of the metal connector fitting contacted with box section member and is projected out of the bolt hole. The cable is connected with the bolt gripper gripping the bolt and is pulled back so that the bolt gripper is pulled outside of the bolt hole through the inside of the box section pillar. The fastener nut is screwed on the high strength bolt and temporarily fastened with the bolt gripped by the bolt gripper.
