PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bus-bar protection relay device which reduces a power interruption range smaller than that of a conventional device at the occurrence of a bus-bar accident when the bus-bar protection relay device of a power plant is not in use because of maintenance and testing, and a bus-bar protection method.;SOLUTION: In the bus-bar communication line protection device which comprises a main detection means for protecting bus-bar communication facilities, an accident detection means for detecting an accident, and a first switching means for designating use/non-use, and when the first switching means is designated to be in use, which outputs a trip command to a bus-bar communication line blocker on the basis of outputs of the main detection means and the accident detection means, the bus-bar communication line protection device outputs the trip command after the lapse of a prescribed time after the output of the accident detection means on the basis of this output when the first switching means is designated to be in the non-use, and when the bus-bar protection device is designated to be in the non-use.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
