PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a methacrylic resin composition for optical use and optical members using the same, slight in discoloration with high transparency retention under use of a high-luminance light source lamp or under long-time continuous use, good in mold releasability with slight mold corrosion and no mold stain occurrence.;SOLUTION: The methacrylic resin composition for optical members comprises 100 pts. mass of (a) a methacrylic polymer composed of 60-99.9 mass% of methyl methacrylate units and 0.1-40 mass% of monomer units copolymerizable therewith, 0.001-0.1 pt. mass of (b) an ultraviolet absorber with the maximum value of molar extinction coefficient εmax at wavelengths 380 to 450 nm being 5-600 dm3×mol-1cm-1 and 0.001-0.1 pt. mass of (c) a phosphorus-based antioxidant.
