PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a configuration capable of performing appropriate display while suppressing a correction amount.;SOLUTION: The entire surface of a display panel 12 is made to emit light according to image data for unevenness measurement. The luminance thereof is measuring by a CCD camera 20. The measured luminance data is converted to spatial frequency data and the spatial frequency data and the spatial frequency component of a luminance unevenness identification threshold are compared. The smaller value is determined as the frequency component of a luminance target value. The frequency component is converted to luminance data by inverse transformation to obtain the luminance target value. The value obtained by dividing the luminance target value by the measured luminance data is stored as the correction value into a table 5 of a correction circuit. The image data d1 for driving the respective display elements are subjected to correction by multiplying the same by the correction value read out of the table 5 in a multiplier 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
