PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting a birthing time precisely and for informing a preliminary notice of birthing of a domestic animal or another animal to a place away from a birthing place (to a place where people are, such as an office, a sitting room, or the like), and also to provide an apparatus by using the method. PSOLUTION: A detector comprising a switch, a sensor and a transmitter is prepared. The detector is inserted into a birth canal in order to detect the signs of birthing. An alarm, a personal computer or a cellular phone is prepared for converting a radio signal of preliminary notice of birthing from the detector and outputs the resultant signal as voices or sounds of a wired system or a radio system or using an indicating lamp.
