PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and continuously producing the subject compound in high selectivity and productivity through epoxidizing 1,5,9- cyclododecartriene with hydrogen peroxide. ;SOLUTION: This method comprises the following process: using a continuous multi-tiered oxidation reaction arrangement where a plurality of reactors are mutually connected in series, the 1st reactor is fed with 1,5,9-cyclododecatriene, a catalyst and hydrogen peroxide to carry out the epoxidation of the 1,5,9- cyclododecatriene to form the objective 1,2-epoxy-5,9-cyclododecadiene, the reaction liquid containing the objective compound is then withdrawn from the 1st reactor and subsequently fluidized successively in the succeeding reactors along with epoxidizing the rest of the 1,5,9-cyclodecartriene to further form the objective 1,2-epoxy-5,9-cyclododecadiene.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
