Print to replace the ink cartridge in the color printing and monochrome printing

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving a printing speed when printing is carried out with the use of only a specific ink in a color printer.;SOLUTION: A printing apparatus with a first ink cartridge setting part and a second ink cartridge setting part is used. A printing head has a first nozzle group for discharging ink of an ink cartridge set to the first ink cartridge setting part and, a second nozzle group which includes nozzles arranged to a position where the nozzles are not aligned in a horizontal direction with nozzles of the first nozzle group and discharges ink of an ink cartridge set to the second ink cartridge setting part. A second black ink cartridge where a black ink is stored is set to the second ink cartridge setting part. Monochromic printing is carried out by discharging the black ink from the first nozzle group and the second nozzle group.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
