PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to efficiently adsorb and remove various of the chemokines (exclusive of interleukin-8) existing in humor by fixing a compd. having logP of a prescribed value or above to a water-insoluble carrier. SOLUTION: The adsorptive material of the chemokines (exclusive of interleukin-8) in the humor is formed by fixing the compd. having the logP (P is the distribution coefft. in an octanol water system) value of =2.50 to the water-insoluble carrier. In such a case, the chemokines refer to materials having chemotaxis. The chemokines of which the genes coding these materials belong to a CXC sub-family exist in the human 4th chromosomes (q12 to 21) and the chemokines belonging to a CC sub-family exist in the human 17 the chromosomes (q11 to 12). The adsorption of the chemokines on the adsorptive material is conceivably achieved by the hydrophobic interaction between the atom groups introduced onto the carrier and the chemokines by the fixation of the compd. having the logP value of =2.50.
