PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high-purity platinum complex catalyst composition excellent in preservation stability and high in catalytic activity by using a composition consisting of a platinum-divinyltetraorganodisiloxane complex, divinyltetraorganodisiloxane and toluene or xylene. ;SOLUTION: A composition consisting of a platinum- divinyltetraorganodisiloxane complex A, divinyltetraorganodisiloxane B (the number of mols of component B is 2-1000 times more than that of the platinum atom in component A) and toluene or xylene C is used as the platinum complex catalyst composition useful as a hydrosilylation catalyst. The composition contains 5 wt.% alcohol compd., and the number of mols of the chlorine atom is adjusted to 0.1 times less than that of the platinum atom in component A. This composition is produced by allowing chloroplatinic acid to react in an alcohol soln. and then adding toluene.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
