PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition which can be suitably employed as a water repellent or a water-repellent coating applicable at a place where it has a chance to be brought into contact with a solution or a substance containing a component injuring film-forming properties or adhesion of the water-repellent such as a polar solvent and can regioselectively give a water- repellent film excellent in adhesion to the surface of an article even at a relatively low temperature.;SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition at least comprises an epoxy resin bearing at least one water-repellent group and at least two alicyclic epoxy groups in one molecule, a triazine-based cationic polymerization catalyst and a non-polar solvent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
