Music retrieval system and music search method

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical piece search system and a musical piece search method for highly accurately searching for musical piece data based on data on impression degrees determined by human sensitivity without putting together data items on impression degrees determined by human sensitivity inputted as search conditions by a user. PSOLUTION: A characteristic data extraction part 13 extracts characteristic data comprising fluctuation information from musical piece data. An impression degree data conversion part 14 converts the characteristic data extracted by the extraction part 13 into impression degree data by using a hierarchical neural network with learning previously performed therefor, and the converted data are stored in a musical piece database 15 together with the piece data. A musical piece search part 18 searches the piece database 15 based on the degree data inputted from a PC operation part 19 to output a search result from a search result output part 21.
