PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus which enable the efficient modulated electric field treatment and acceleration of the effect and diagnosis of the cause of inhibition of the modulation electric field treatment and takes a measure for the solution.;SOLUTION: While allowing a square-wave current, which causes a change in frequency with the elapse of time, into a coil 2, a fluid to be treated is flowed once or repeatedly twice or more into a slantly disposed pipe 1 with the coil 2 wound therearound. A part of the fluid subjected to the modulated electric field treatment and passed through the pipe 1 is dropped on a glass plate, followed by drying at room temperature. A change in the interface part of the dried product on the dried glass is observed under a microscope to judge the level of the effect of modulated electric field treatment of the fluid. Thus, in this method and apparatus for a desk test of treated water, the effect of preventing the deposition of and/or removing rust, scale and others on a wall surface constituting a fluid flow passage by modulated electric field treatment of a fluid can be tested.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
