PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably keep the quality of welding and to improve working efficiency without depending on the ability and skillfulness of a welder at the time of manual welding in monitoring welding. SOLUTION: This manual welding supporting device is provided with a welder's behavior measuring unit 101 and a welding environment measuring unit 102 for measuring the data related to the welding environment including an object of welding and the behavior of the welder PS in the execution of that welding operation when the manual welding is executed, an arithmetic processor 104 for extracting the featured values of a welding state in the execution of welding from these measured data, a welding state deciding device 105 for deciding whether the state of manual welding based on the extracted featured values is good or not and welding state presenting device 107 for presenting information related to the change of the welding state including the result of decision so that the welder PS executing welding can recognize it. A welding process recording device 103 for recording and holding the above measured data, result of decision and featured values and a welding process indicating device 106 for indicating at least the result of decision are also included.
