PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recycling waste glass material, by which an impurity is made harmless and to provide glass cullet manufactured by this method.;SOLUTION: In a waste glass material recycling process, the edge portion of the multiple glass containing the impurity of 19.2 mass% in concentration is separated from the recovered multiple glass, crushed coarsely and sieved to manufacture a edge portion powdery body so that the concentration of the impurity having a small particle size under sieve is around 1%. The edge portion powdery body is pulverized to obtain pulverized material. Water is added to the pulverized material to elute alkali metals such as Na and alkaline-earth metals such as Ca in the pulverized material and obtain an alkaline solution. The solute of the alkaline solution is dried and burnt, and then the glass cullet containing the impurity of 15-50 mass ppm concentration (the acceptance quality standard of glass cullet) is taken out.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
