PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavating propelling machine which adequately carries out directional correction during excavation or propulsion, has a simplified structure, and secures a sufficient space in a pipe.;SOLUTION: The excavating propelling machine 1 has a function of correcting the excavating/propelling direction of a leading body 3 having an excavating mechanism 2 arranged thereon. The excavating propelling machine 1 is formed of: a plurality of air chambers 21, 22, 23 and 24 which are made of inflatable/deflatable elastic bodies and arranged on the periphery of the leading body 3; and air chamber control means (9, 11 and 20) for inflating and deflating the air chambers 21, 22, 23 and 24 independently from one another by increasing and decreasing an air amount in each air chamber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
