PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately bring the central axis of a lens or a grindstone into line with that of a table disc for fixing, when the diameter of the lens or the grindstone is small. ;SOLUTION: The centering/fixing method of a lens or a grindstone and a table disc for fixing them while bringing the central axis 1b of a lens 1 or the like of circular section into line with the central axis 3a of the table disc 3 comprises a process for sticking the lens 1 or the like on an interposed disc 2, a process for coaxially placing the table disc 3 on a rotatable stage 12, a process for placing the interposed disc 2 on the table disc 3, a process for grasping the eccentricity between the central axis 1b of the lens 1 or the like and the rotational axis 12c of the stage 12 while rotating the stage 12, a process for pushing out the lens 1 or the like by a pushing-out tool 13 whose forward or rearward movement can be freely determined and for moving the lens 1 or the like on the table disc 3 to the position where the axis of the lens or the like becomes coaxial with the rotational axis 12c of the stage 12, and a process for fixing the lens 1 or the like and the table disc 3 in this position.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
