PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active phased array antenna that configures a feedback loop including an antenna system and is not affected by mutual coupling from an adjacent antenna element or an adjacent sub array so as to attain monitoring with high accuracy.;SOLUTION: Since a monitor slot antenna element 52 arranged in an intermediate layer between a lower layer metallic board 48 and an upper layer metallic board 41 while being deviated from an upper part of an excitation slot antenna element 49 is provided to the active phased array antenna, even when a power amplifier 45 is integrated with the active phased array antenna, the feedback loop including the antenna system is configured to attain the monitor of a transmission radio wave with high accuracy.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
