PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chromium-free surface treatment agent for a metallic sheet material to which excellent alkali resistance, roll formability and corrosion resistance can be imparted, and to provide an aluminum-containing galvannealed steel sheet surface-treated with the same treatment agent.;SOLUTION: The chromium-free surface treatment agent for a metallic sheet material contains (A) water based resin having carboxyl groups and acid-amido bonds, (B) one or more kinds of metallic compounds selected from the metallic compounds of Al, Mg, Ca, Zn, Ni, Co, Fe, Zr, Ti, V, W, Mn and Ce, and (C) a silicon compound. The chromium-free surface treated aluminum-zinc based alloy plated steel sheet is obtained by providing a covering layer containing the above (A) components, (B) components and (C) components at least on one side by 0.2 to 5.0 g/m² as a film coating weight. As the above (A) components, urethane resin or acrylic resin having carboxyl groups and acid- amido bonds is preferable. As the (C) components, silicic acid, silicide, colloidal silica, and a silane coupling agent are preferable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
