PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endurance test apparatus for a golf club head to automatically carry out an endurance test with requiring by an observer to always stays at a test site for visual examination and without stop of the test device, provide a method for the endurance test for the golf club head, and provide an endurance test program for the golf club head. PSOLUTION: This golf club endurance apparatus 10 comprises a measuring means 11, a memory 15, an input device 17, a display device 19, an air cannon 20, a means 28 for measuring the number of strikes and a stop circuit 32. A golf ball 46 to be discharged from an air cannon 20 strikes a face surface 44 to cause fatigue failure and strike sound by which response characteristic of the face surface 44 is measured. For example, a primary resonance frequency is measured form the number of strikes and strike sounds measured by the measuring device 11. Thus, a fracture start point from which a fracture such as hair cracks on a face rear surface are caused and a complete fracture point from which a crack is caused on the face surface 44 are completely grasped without visual examination.
