PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bit for a tab crusher which reliably crush a material made of a synthetic resin, and to provide a tab crusher, a self-propelled tab crusher, and a method of use of a tab crusher.;SOLUTION: A tip edge 34 of the bit 30 used for the crushing apparatus of the tab crusher is made into a linear shape to contact with the material. Accordingly, the bit 30 easily catch the material made of a thin and lightweight synthetic resin such as a PET bottle, and a long and narrow material, the flicking of the material is prevented, and the material is reliably crushed. The bit 30 causes shearing to the material by the hard contact of the linear tip edge 34 with the material, and crushes the material as if it tears the material. Even a material such as a pipe made of a polyvinyl chloride with a skiddy surface is reliably crushed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
