PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the soaking crack rate of raw rice by mechanically measuring crack sound of rice occurred when raw rice is soaked in water; to simplify measurement works and shorten measurement time; to acquire objective and reliable measurement results; and accordingly, to provide cooked rice with excellent texture and stable commercial value.;SOLUTION: This measurement device 1 for soaking crack rate of rice is provided with a mike 3 picking up sound inside a container in which raw rice is soaked, a filter 6 extracting sound with a predetermined frequency region from the sound collected by the mike 3 as soaking crack sound of raw rice, a counter 7 counting the soaking crack sound of raw rice extracted by the filter 6, and a comparison and calculation means 8 comparing and calculating the soaking crack sound of raw rice counted by the counter 7 with previously input data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
