PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a through terminal to stably maintain the airtightness and an X-ray tube having such a through terminal.;SOLUTION: These through insulator and X-ray tube are provided with a cylindrical member (11) and a plate member (13) composed of a ceramic insulating material airtightly joined to the inner circumference of the cylindrical member, and pins (15) which are composed of an electroconductive material to penetrate the plate member and whose penetrating part is in the inner side of metal tubes (17), and which are airtightly joined to the plate member via these tubes. The cylindrical member has a step 111 with which the plate face of the plate member comes in contact in the inner circumference.
