PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processed yarn suppressing its rough hard feeling as a whole, while leaving an unevenness feeling, a crepe feeling and a slub feeling, its production method, a woven or knitted article by using the processed yarn, a doubled and twisted yarn by using the processed yarn and a woven or knitted article by using the same doubled and twisted yarn.;SOLUTION: This false twist-processed yarn is characterized by having converged S-twisted spirally twisted parts and Z-twisted spirally twisted parts alternately without mediated by non spirally twisted parts in longitudinal direction of a thermoplastic multi-filament, and random lengths of the S-twisted parts and the Z-twisted parts. The method for producing such a false twist-processed yarn by doubling 2 pieces of the thermoplastic multi-filaments, performing a false twist-processing and then separating them, is provided by doubling the 2 pieces of yarns with a doubling guide for introducing them to a yarn supplying roller, also making preliminary tension of each of the yarns before the supplying roller as identical and processing them without changing the twist-initiating point in the false twisting.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
