A pressure detection sensor (4) which is placed on a flat plate like heating device (1), detects heart rate and respiration rate. The detected signal is given to a control device which controls power supplied to the heating device, so as to monitor heart rate and respiration rate by maintaining the body temperature. An independent claim is also included for heart rate and respiration rate measurement system.
