This invention relates to a penetrating projectile, particularly an anti-infrastructure penetration bomb. The invention also relates to a penetration method applied to the above mentioned projectile. The penetrating projectile comprises: an inner tube (22) inside which a perforating projectile (30) is placed comprising at least one body (31) provided with a pyrotechnic charge (33) and a propulsion body (301), the body (31) of the perforating projectile being ejected outside the tube by firing the propulsion body (301); a system (28, 306, 307) for controlling firing of the propulsion body (301) before the impact of the penetrating projectile (10) on a target. The invention is particularly applicable for passing through very thick walls made of a non-metallic material for example such as concrete.
