The method involves providing notched straps (3, 4) with a sequence of teeth on surfaces of a shutter (2). A position of the teeth of one of the strap, during the rolling of the shutter, is adapted by the deformation of the strap to allow the straps to be engaged with respect to each other. The position of the straps is stabilized one with respect to other and/or with respect to the shutter to maintain the strap in a deformed position. A non notched strap is placed on one of the surfaces of the shutter, where the non notched strap is made of a thermoplastic or thermosetting material. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing two notched straps that are fixed with respect to two opposed surfaces of a shutter.
