The invention relates to the use of an inhibitor of the renin-angiotensin system or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof, optionally together with another antihypertonic agent, a cholesterol lowering agent, a diuretic or aspirin, in the manufacture of a medicament for the prevention of cardiovascular troubles. The invention relates also to a combined product containing an inhibitor of the renin-angiotensin system or its pharmaceutically acceptable derivative and a cholesterol lowering agent.
