ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM ON BOARD WITH DISTRIBUTED PASSENGER TERMINALS. a flight entertainment system with distributed terminals is described. One embodiment of the invention comprises a server having digital content, which is communicatively linked to a communication network, a connector located near each passenger seat of an aircraft, each connector being communicatively linked to the network, and terminals for distribution. Each distributed terminal is configured to be coupled to one of the connectors to allow the passenger in the seat to which the connector is close to access digital content.
