"USE OF SODIUM MOLIBDATE IN TRANSESTERIFICATION OF VEGETABLE OILS TO OBTAIN FATTY ACID ESTERS THROUGH HETEROGENE CATALYSIS". This invention deals with the use of sodium oxosal molybdate (Na ~ 2 ~ MoO ~ 4 ~) as a heterogeneous catalyst for the transesterification of triacylglycerides in oilseed oils such as soybeans to obtain methyl and ethyl fatty acid esters for use. fuel - biodiesel. In addition to facilitating the treatment process of the product obtained, the use of this solid catalyst allows high yields, reduced process costs and less waste generation, considering its reusability. The main advantage in using this catalyst is related to the low temperature employed in the reaction, relatively short reaction times, high degree of recyclability and ease of catalyst synthesis or commercial availability, which favors the implementation of a technically and economically viable industrial process.
