When treating fine silty silicate raw materials, particularly that of china clays, clays laminated clays or mixtures thereof resulting from their heat treatment, optionally crushing or grinding, the fine silty silicate raw material fraction with a grain size up to 2 mm in semi-solid state at relative humidity up to 35 percent is mixed and the mixture so obtained is then subjected to homogenization and compaction by kneading. Subsequently, the kneaded homogeneous mixture is then pressure-extruded counter a perforated mouth increasing thus its compaction and formation whereupon it is divided into products such as strips, pellets, and bricks, which solidify, after being subjected to heat, and are ground and sorted to a required product. Action of heat represents drying and/or baking. After mixing or kneading, the powder fraction is further subjected to additional moistening up to relative humidity ranging from 15 to 35 percent, whereupon prior extrusion, it is homogenized by further kneading. During mixing or kneading, plasticizers or substances influencing chemical and technological properties of the baked product and being selected from the group consisting of kaolin, clay, bentonite, polyvinyl alcohol, organic matters, such as fine wood saw-dust, coal, carbon, huminates, cellulose and derivatives thereof, glue, further soda, potash, water glass, polyacrylates, fluxes such as feldspars, compounds with high content of iron oxides and hydroxides, glazing, glass, limestone, dolomite, reducing and oxidizing agents and adhesives, can be added to the powder fraction.
