The present invention relates to an arrangement of fastening elements (1, 25) for holding bundles (19) retained by cable ties (7) for use in a tie-around machine and method therefor wherein the fastening elements (1, 25) consist of a fastening tail (3) for anchoring on a supporting part and a fastening head (5) with a holding loop (6) through which the cable tie (7) is interlockingly threaded. A continuous collar (8) supported on the supporting part is formed between the head (5) and the tail (3). The fastening elements (1) are successively arranged in a row and interconnected by cast-on strips (9) that extend along the collars (8). The process for arranging fastening elements (1, 25) in a row that allows them to be automatically supplied is characterized in that the fastening elements (1) are cast in a cast mold from both sides of the collar (8) with two parallel cast-on strips (9) and the fastening elements (1) remain connected therewith, after opening of both halves of the cast mold by mean of tearable cast-on bridges (11), so that the cast-on strips (9) function as transport strips during subsequent supply of the fastening elements (1).
