A method and device are offered for separation of the mixture of low temperature rectification. The method comprises low temperature rectification process of nitric oxide in the device consisting of five stages in the mass exchanged column of which adjusting of isotope exchange reaction speed is executed, and in the second, third, and fifth columns in the feeding flow the complete balancing of nitric oxide is achieved, in the second column the further enrichment of nitric oxide by isotopes 180, 170 and 15N is provided for, in the lower part of the third column the nitric oxide highly enriched by isotopes 15N and 180 is obtained. The device comprises in series switched 4 continuously working mass exchanged columns 1, 2, 3, 4 and the last periodic working mass exchanged column 5. To the lower part of continuously working mass exchanged columns for isotope balancing of nitric oxide and for purifying nitric oxide from other nitric oxides cleaning units 10 are connected which are provided with the means for adjusting the quality of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) content in nitric oxide.
