A communication server (40) is connected to a local network for selectively receiving information concerning the callers from a database and transmitting information concerning data associated with each call. The server is connected to the call units (11) through a switching unit (19) at the beginning of each call to activate the call units by the caller. The server which is coupled to supervising terminal (41) receives and checks the dialed telephone number, dials the number and connects the caller with the called person.
