MOSQUITO PROOF DESERT COOLER (NAMED 'BYPASS DESERT COOLER')

Desert coolers are a major mosquito breeding habitat for disease vectors such as Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya. Control of mosquito breeding in desert coolers will eliminate an important mosquito production habitat. In this invention a separate water storage area is installed outside the desert cooler housing. This storage area is made completely mosquito proof. Water from the cooler housing is drained into this storage area and circulated through a pump which is installed either inside the storage area or outside it. There is no change in the rest of the cooling system i.e. water is pumped and distributed for wetting the grass (khas) packed curtains.
