PROCESS TO PREPARE CONCENTRATED LIGNITE-WATER FUEL (LWF) FROM HYDROTHERMALLY TREATED (HT) LIGNITE/LOW RANK COALS

Process to Prepare Concentrated Lignite Water fuel (LWF) Hydro thermally Treated (HT) Indian Lignite consists a wet ball or rod milling process with careful attention to producing a bimodal particle size distribution with a mass mean diameter greater than 40 microns, but less than 100 microns and a continuous HT process operating above 240 deg C, but not exceeding 300 deg C and pressure slightly above the saturated stream at the HT temperature but not exceeding 2000psi. The filtration process such as a rotary vacuum filter to remove excess water following HT that limits fine lignite losses to less then 1%. The overall Process to upgrade lignite so that it can be formulated into pumpable combustible LWF with solids content in excess of 55%.
