摘要

The present invention refers to a method for obtaining cells insensitive to heterogeneous conditions of oxygenation in bioreactors through mutations in anaerobic metabolic pathways, the invention also referring to the insensitive cells thus obtained. Said cells are preferably animal cells (mammals or insects) or microorganisms, mainly yeasts or bacteria such as Escherichia coli Bacillus subtilis. The cells of the present invention have totally or partially forbidden the use of fermentative pathways when the same are under low dissolved oxygen tension (DOT) conditions, anaerobiosis being also forbidden for a transitory period which be at least equal to that used by said microorganism or animal cell for activating the fermentative pathways, thereby allowing the formation and accumulation of by-products typical of said pathways to be reduced, also allowing the microorganism or animal cell to grow and transform more effectively the carbon source into the desired product, showing higher sp ecific growth rates, higher biomass yields over glucose, and specific production rates of the desired product.
