The present invention describes a process for manufacturing carbon submicronic particles having a tubular morphology, which diameter ranges from about 0.002 micrometers to about 0.300 micrometers, and which lengths are lower than 2000 micrometers approx., the process including the use of ceramic or metallic substrates which have been previously subjected to thermal or thermo chemical treatments. The amount production of grams per hour of carbon submicronic particles having tubular morphology is achieved by the Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVP) method, including the decomposition of liquid hydrocarbons selected from the group comprising Toluene (C7H3), Benzene (C6H6), Pyridine (C5NH5), Benzylamine (C7H9N) amongst others, which are dissolved into organometallic compounds selected from the group comprising Ferrocene (FeCp2), Cobaltocene (CoCp2), Nickelocene (NiCp2) amongst others, located in inert atmospheres such as Argon, Helium, Nitrogen etc. The decomposition and deposition process is performed within steel tubes or in the presence of metallic or ceramic substrates previously subjected to thermal or thermochemical treatments at temperatures ranging of form about 650°C to about 1000°C. The particles thus obtained may have diverse industrial applications for manufacturing reinforced plastic compounds, coatings, metals and ceramics, said particles being added thereto.
