The magnetic book marker is of bendable material, doubly folded, and insertable on one sheet side, with fixture in position by the force of two magnets located on both isnides (1). Through the reciprocal attraction of the magnets, the place indicator cannot be altered by itself from its position easily and more or less lastingly mark several page sides (4) or fragments of them. The book marker and the magnets can be produced in a variety of shapes and the material and methods matched, whereby the pliability of the marker, exact positioning and reciprocal attraction force of the magnets are promoted. The magnet pole paths (3) are alternately orientated south and north.
