The method involves sending a control message (4) to a wireless terminal, and transferring the control message from the wireless terminal to a wireless data network using a converter device. Another control message is transported to and broadcasted on a broadcast network, where a receiving device e.g. TV, receives the control message and determines an appropriate electronic act on the basis of the contents of the latter control message. An independent claim is also included for a system for remote activation of an electronic device.
