Key code operated lock device for e.g. pipeline shut off valve, transmits movement of key to code device when key is inserted into or removed from lock

A transmission means is provided for transmitting movement of the key (1a, 1b) to the code device (2a, 2b) when the key is being inserted into or removed from the lock. The device comprises a locking and release mechanism, and a lock with a code device for locking the mechanism when a key with a code corresponding to that on the code device is absent and for releasing this mechanism when the key is present. An independent claim is also included for a pipeline shut-off valve with this lock device.
