Preservation of wooden structural profiles screens against weather influence and prevents spread of dry rot in connection with renewal of wooden window frames, where the construction is still intact. The profiles are provided with a special profiling and are preserved with acetic acid anhydride in order to guarantee a life length of a minimum of 20 years. The wooden profiles have notches cut on the rear side at the position of the width and to accurate dimensions. Traditional wood working remains possible.
