The crutch (1) has an upright position aid, with a first tube (2) with a foot (4) near to its first outer end (5). Near its second outer end (7) in a hinge point it is connected with a second tube (3). The second tube at a first outer end is provided with an arm support. The first tube near the second outer end is provided with a bearer (8) laid crossways on the tube. The bearer is hinge-connected with the first tube. The second tube outside the center line of the first tube is connected with the bearer. The first or second tube at an outer end is provided with a hand grip (12). The second tube with its first outer end (15) engages on a locking component (17) crossways to the second outer end of the first tube. The second tube near its second outer end (16) is provided with a crossways located arm stirrup (13). The bearer is height-adjustably fixed to the first and second tubes.
